JOHNSON, Lisa Fisher, an extraordinary woman, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on January 26, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Wood Fisher Jr.; and her beloved husband, Michael William Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted mother, Nancy McCall Spencer; and stepfather, Charles Douglas Spencer Jr.; a sister, Frances Fisher Bose; her dedicated children, Rachel Elizabeth Johnson and Camm William Johnson; father-in-law, Carl William Johnson; and mother-in-law, Douglas Gatewood Johnson; sister-in-law, Melissa Ann Johnson; and nieces, Lily Malina Bose, Eva Mae Bose and Claire Ling Johnson. Special thanks are given to her caregiver, Ashley Tribbey; special friend, Holly Stanley; and Dr. David Buxton. Lisa graduated from the University of Virginia and received her master's degree from the New York Academy of Art. She was an art teacher for many years at the Visual Arts Center and several local schools, gave private lessons in her home and most recently was an adjunct professor at Longwood University. Above all, Lisa was a kind and selfless woman who touched so many lives with her creativity, inspiration and goodness. A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Bon Air on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. It will be followed by a reception at Willow Oaks Country Club. A private burial will be held in Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cullather Brain Tumor Center at St. Mary's Hospital, 5875 Bremo Road, Richmond, Va. 23226.

I have such wonderful memories of Lisa in school. I am so sad and sorry to hear of her passing. My wishes for peace and comfort go to her family and friends.
